Stretch Mark Cream Remedy

The only good thing about unsightly stretch marks is they are not harmful to your health. They develop in the skin due to hormones or endocrine changes in the body. Here are several reasons for stretch marks: puberty, depression, unhappiness, vitamin and/or nutrient deficiencies, negative emotions, pregnancy, steroid and medications, physical and environmental changes, insufficient elastin and collagen, weight fluctuations, and heredity.

Pregnancy is at the top of the list as a cause for stretch marks because the skin cannot always stretch fast enough to accommodate the growth of the baby.

One of the best, but most expensive stretch mark removal treatments is laser technology. You don’t have to spend the money or even leave your home to get rid of stretch marks with these homemade remedies.

Cocoa butter used alone is probably the most well-known remedy for stretch marks. The following recipe makes it even better.

Stretch Mark Cream Remedy (for Pregnant Women)

Mix together ½ cup of cocoa butter, 1 tbsp. of wheat germ oil, 1 tsp. of vitamin E oil, 1 tsp. of apricot kernel oil, and 2 tsp. of grated beeswax. Heat until beeswax is melted. Place in air-tight container and store in refrigerator. Apply to stretch marks every day.

Stretch Mark Cream Remedy (for non-Pregnant Women)

Ground ¼ cup of apricot kernels to a fine powder. Mix the kernels into your favorite hand lotion. Rub this mixture for one minute onto your stretch marks three times per day. Wipe the lotion mixture off with a warm damp cloth.

These homemade stretch mark cream remedies are probably just as good if not better than any high-priced formula on the market. If they don’t seem to work in a few weeks, you can always decide to discontinue the recipe with no harm done. However, even if you don’t see any significant difference in your stretch marks, these ingredients will still be good for your skin.
